Mediterranean Reserve Managers International Cooperative Fellowship

The University of California Natural Reserve System is pleased to announce that the Mediterranean Reserve Managers International Cooperative (MRMIC) Fellowship is now open for competition.

Two fellowships will be awarded to those interested in the conservation and management of protected areas in Mediterranean-type ecosystems (MTEs). This competition is open only to the Mediterranean Reserve Managers International Cooperative, as well as all UC NRS reserve managers. Each award is $5,000 for fiscal year 2011-12.

The MRMIC Fellowship is offered to support the international exchange of reserve managers, scientists, and other qualified individuals interested in the conservation and management of protected areas in Mediterranean-type ecosystems (MTEs). The award is intended to support travel among reserves and other protected areas in MTEs. Fellows are expected to work with, learn from, or conduct collaborative research with ecosystem managers from other MTEs.
